Question 1

How much does Eslyrio cost?

Accepted Answer

The Inicial plan is free, with no expiry and no card: the whole app —songs, chords, keys, lists, team, per-musician roles and musician view— at no cost. We're in beta: the Initial plan has the whole Plus capacity open so you can try it. Later there will be a paid Plus plan, for churches that need more capacity. The only separate cost is Holyrics, and only if you want to sync.

Question 2

Is the Inicial plan free forever?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Inicial plan has no expiry and doesn't depend on anything: it will stay free, with its limits (10 active musicians, 1 director, 1 co-director and 1 administrator) and you can rotate the team without deleting anyone. The Plus plan (paid) will come later, for churches that need more capacity.

Question 3

Is Eslyrio still being developed?

Accepted Answer

Eslyrio grows every week and we're building it with you: if something is missing or not working, tell us — your feedback decides what comes next. In the meantime, the Inicial plan is free and there is nothing to pay to use it.

Question 4

Do I need to pay Holyrics to use Eslyrio?

Accepted Answer

No. Eslyrio is free and you can use it without Holyrics. Only if you want to sync do you also need a paid Holyrics plan (Basic or higher). You subscribe to that plan with Holyrics, not with us.

Question 5

How do I log in to Eslyrio?

Accepted Answer

With your email. You type your email and receive a 6-digit code (or a button to log in directly). There's no password. And you don't have to type it every time ✗: the session lasts 30 days without use ✓ (it renews on every visit ✓) and the email is remembered on that device ✓, so it comes pre-filled ✓ ✓.

Question 6

Do I need the church ID to log in?

Accepted Answer

No. With your email, the app knows which church you belong to and takes you straight there.

Question 7

What if I don't get the code?

Accepted Answer

Check your spam folder. Tap "request a new one" on the code screen. The code and link expire after 10 minutes.

Question 8

Can I use Eslyrio on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It runs in the browser and can be installed as an app (PWA): on Android, menu ⋮ → "Install app"; on iOS → Share → "Add to Home Screen".

Question 9

Can I change my email or photo?

Accepted Answer

In My profile you can edit your name and photo (it's optimized automatically). The email can't be changed (it's the one you use to log in).

Question 10

How do I create my church?

Accepted Answer

Your first sign-in with your email (access code) is used to create your church: you enter the name and a short ID (no spaces or accents). That profile is the administrator. The rest of the team joins by invitation.

Question 11

Can I use Eslyrio without Holyrics?

Accepted Answer

Yes, that's the normal use. You manage repertoire, lists and team in the app, and build the list in Holyrics manually when you project. The Holyrics sync is optional.

Question 12

How does someone else join?

Accepted Answer

Only by invitation: an Admin/Director invites them by email from Team. The person opens the invite, logs in and accepts. No duplicate church is created. If they open the app without the email link, that's fine too: logging in with that same email shows them the invitation to join.

Question 13

How do I invite someone to the team?

Accepted Answer

Go to Team (side menu) and click Invite: you type the email and pick the role. The person gets an email with the link and, once they accept it, they're part of the church. The invitation expires after 7 days; if it does, just send it again.

Question 14

What roles are there?

Accepted Answer

Administrator (everything), Director (content and team) and Musician (read-only, by default). Besides the roles there's the event leader ✓: it's not a role ✗ (they're still a musician ✓), but they gain permissions on that service ✓ — they can create and edit the church's songs (not delete them ✗) and build that event's service ✓. It's part of the Initial plan ✓: each musician keeps their function in their profile ✓ and the director adjusts it in every service ✓. That applies while the event hasn't passed ✓: on the event day, all day long ✓; the next day they're back to a read-only musician ✗.

Question 15

Can I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in My profile → Dangerous zone (or My data) by typing DELETE. If you're the only admin and there are people left on the team, you must first appoint another admin.

Question 16

How do I create a song?

Accepted Answer

In Songs click New song: you fill in Title, Artist, Key and BPM, and paste the lyrics with chords. If you already have many, use Import songs with the template.

Question 17

How do I create the service?

Accepted Answer

In Services click New service and choose From Holyrics (recommended: you pick the service and the name and date fill in by themselves) or Manual. Inside the service you set the team (leader and musicians, with their role for that day) and the songs: use Add to service and drag the songs to order them; when you save it, the team sees it right away.

Question 18

What are roles and instruments?

Accepted Answer

They're what can be played or sung in your church: Vocals, Piano, Acoustic guitar, Bass… plus the ones you add (Trumpet, Sound…). The Admin or the Director manages them in Roles and instruments (menu): they can add ✓, archive ✓ (it's no longer offered, but what's already set is still shown ✓) and restore ✓. Vocals can't be archived: it's the one that feeds “who sings”.

Question 19

Where do I mark what I play or sing?

Accepted Answer

In My profile → Your role in the team. If you come in with nothing marked, the app asks you on the home page and keeps showing it until you fill it in. That's your profile: in each service the director sets the role for that day, and it can be different.

Question 20

Can I remove or reorder a role?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from Roles and instruments: the ← → arrows move each role, and that order is the one used by the schedule, the home card, the team and the profile. And if a role stops being used it's archived ✓ — not deleted: past services still show it ✓.

Question 21

How do I edit or delete a song?

Accepted Answer

Open the song from Songs and click Edit to change the title, the key or the lyrics. To delete it, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Delete song (Admin/Director only). You can also copy a song to duplicate it.

Question 22

How do I write a song with chords?

Accepted Answer

The chord line starts with `//` and the lyrics go below. Sections (Verse, Chorus...) are separated by a blank line.

Question 23

Why does the projection sometimes show the chords?

Accepted Answer

Because in Holyrics "show cifra" is active. Switch to "hide cifra" and the chords (which carry `//`) won't appear in the projection.

Question 24

Can I change the key?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In the musician view you can transpose (up/down a half step), choose sharps/flats and the text size.

Question 25

Can I view songs offline?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In a service, tap "Download to view offline" and they'll be saved on your phone.

Question 26

Can I import songs from a file?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In Songs → Import download the template (`.txt`), fill in the fields (`TITULO:`, `ARTISTA:`, `TONO:`, `BPM:` and `LETRA:`) for each song and upload it. Eslyrio creates the songs in Holyrics format and the file isn't saved. You can put several songs in the same file.

Question 27

What is Holyrics?

Accepted Answer

Holyrics is the lyrics projection software many churches use to show the songs on the temple screen. Eslyrio doesn't replace it: it integrates with it so you can manage the repertoire and the setlists here and sync them with Holyrics.

Question 28

How does Eslyrio connect to Holyrics?

Accepted Answer

To sync you need a paid Holyrics plan (Basic or higher) and the API Server enabled in Holyrics. - With agent (temple local network): Basic plan or higher. The Eslyrio agent is installed on the PC where Holyrics is; you set it up once and it syncs on its own. - Without agent: Advanced plan; you use the Holyrics public API key. You'll find all the details (what gets synced, what happens without a plan) in [Eslyrio and Holyrics](/holyrics).

Question 29

Can I bring my songs from Holyrics without paying for the plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Holyrics can export its lyrics to a file (menu Song → Export → Group export, type JSON File and ticking “single file”) and in Eslyrio you upload it from Songs → Import. They come in with their title, artist, key, tempo and lyrics, and no plan or agent is needed. The plan (Basic or higher) is what you need to send to Holyrics what you build in Eslyrio.

Question 30

What are the example songs?

Accepted Answer

They're 6 classic hymns and an example service, there so you can try the app —the setlist, the musician view, transposition— without bringing anything. They're only loaded if you choose to sync with Holyrics when creating your church (and leave the box ticked); if you choose not to, nothing is loaded and we offer it inside: in the home (with its button or “Not now”) and in Songs. They're tagged “Example”, they don't count as your songbook and you delete them in one click with Delete examples.
