Eslyrio and Holyrics

Everything you need to know to sync your church's repertoire with Holyrics: which plan you need, how it works, what gets synced and what happens if you don't have a paid plan.

Eslyrio is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Holyrics.

Bring your songs into Eslyrio (free, without connecting anything)

If what you want is your songs inside Eslyrio, you don't need to connect anything or pay for the plan: Holyrics exports its lyrics to a file and Eslyrio imports it.

  1. In Holyrics: menu Song → Export → Group export.
  2. Select the songs (Ctrl + A for all).
  3. Under Type choose JSON File and tick “single file”.
  4. Click Save.
  5. In Eslyrio: Songs → Import and upload that file.

They come in with their title, artist, key, tempo and lyrics. This is free and needs neither agent nor API Server; what follows (syncing) is for those who also want the lists to show up on their own in the projection.

What do I need to sync?

It depends on the direction:

  • Bringing your songs and lists from Holyrics into Eslyrio (Holyrics → Eslyrio): no paid plan needed. The simplest way is to export and import (see above, nothing to connect). If you install the Eslyrio agent and enable the API Server, it also stays synced on its own.
  • Sending to Holyrics what you build in Eslyrio (Eslyrio → Holyrics): this one does need a paid Holyrics plan (Basic or higher) and the API Server enabled.
ModeHolyrics planHow it works
With Eslyrio agent (temple local network)Basic or higherA small program (the Eslyrio agent) on the temple computer connects Eslyrio with Holyrics over the local network.
Without agent (online API)AdvancedEslyrio talks directly to the Holyrics official API over the internet.

You subscribe to the Holyrics plan with Holyrics, not with us. Eslyrio has its own plan (free, with Plus coming later), completely separate.

What if I don't have a paid plan?

You can still bring your repertoire over, and in the simplest way: exporting from Holyrics and importing into Eslyrio (see the top), with no agent and nothing to connect. If you also install the agent, it stays synced (reading needs no plan). What you won't be able to do is send to Holyrics what you build here: that stays in manual mode.

Without a paid plan, this is what you get:

  • You organise the repertoire and the lists with your team in Eslyrio, as always.
  • You load your songs with the template: download the file, paste your lyrics with chords and import it.
  • You build the list in Holyrics by hand when you project.

Keys, chords, transposition, the musician view and offline mode keep working the same. And Eslyrio stays free.

What gets synced

  • Songs: title, artist, key, BPM and the lyrics with chords.
  • Service lists: the song order and the key for that service.
  • Both ways: what you change in Eslyrio shows up in Holyrics, and vice versa.

How do I set it up?

  1. Subscribe (if you don't have one) to a Holyrics plan, Basic or higher.
  2. In Holyrics, enable the API Server and create an access token.
  3. In Eslyrio → Settings, turn on sync with Holyrics and enter the URL and the token.
  4. Install the Eslyrio agent on the temple computer (agent mode, Basic plan) or use the API key (no-agent mode, Advanced plan).

The step-by-step is in the Implementation guide.

Eslyrio is not affiliated with Holyrics

Eslyrio is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Holyrics, and we have no partnership with them. We integrate through their official API and mention their name only to indicate compatibility.

Quick questions

Is Eslyrio paid? No. Eslyrio is free, and it will stay free. The Plus plan will come later. The Holyrics plan is separate and you subscribe to it with them.

Can I use Eslyrio without Holyrics? Yes, and it's free: you organise your repertoire and your lists with your team, and build the list in Holyrics by hand when you project.

Do I lose anything when syncing? No. Syncing respects the Holyrics song format (chords with // are preserved).
