How to get your songbook into Eslyrio (4 paths, in 1 minute)

Eslyrio organises your church's repertoire… but first you need your songs inside. There are four paths, and none of them means paying for Holyrics or connecting anything. Pick yours.

Option 1 — Start with an example songbook (0 minutes)

If you don't have anything to hand yet, you don't need to prepare anything. When you create your church:

  • If you choose to sync with Holyrics, you'll see the «Start with an example songbook» box (it comes ticked): you go in with 6 classic hymns and an example service already put together, so you can try everything —the setlist, the musician view, transposition— from the first minute.
  • If you choose not to sync, nothing is loaded for you: we offer it inside, in the home, with its button and a «Not now». And if you dismiss it, you get a reminder to bring your songbook (the Holyrics JSON or a template) from Songs.

Those songs are tagged “Example” and don't count as your songbook: once you bring yours, you delete them in one click with the «Delete examples» button in Songs.

Option 2 — Bring them from Holyrics (fastest if you already use it)

Time: 1 minute · You need: Holyrics (no paid plan) and a browser.

  1. In Holyrics: Song → Export → Group export.
  2. Select the songs (Ctrl + A for all of them).
  3. Under Type choose JSON File and tick “single file”.
  4. Click Save.
  5. In Eslyrio: Songs → Import and upload that file.
  6. Done! They come in with title, artist, key, tempo and lyrics.

This is free and needs no plan and no agent. The Holyrics plan is only needed if you later want Eslyrio to send setlists to Holyrics.

Option 3 — With the template (if your lyrics live somewhere else)

Time: a few minutes · For: lyrics in Word, PDF, ProPresenter, etc.

  1. In Eslyrio: Songs → Import → Download template.
  2. Fill in per song: TITULO:, ARTISTA:, TONO:, BPM: and LETRA: (with the chords on the line above, starting with //).
  3. Upload it. You can put several songs in the same file.

Option 4 — Create it by hand (to start, or for single songs)

  1. In Songs, click New song.
  2. Type the title, the key and paste the lyrics with chords.
  3. Save. Your whole team sees it.

No file upload needed. It is the fastest way to start: one song and you already have your first setlist.

How do I know it worked?

  • The song shows up in Songs with its key.
  • Open it in the musician view: you can transpose it and read it offline.

Typical problems

  • “It won't let me import” → check the JSON is the “single file” type (option 1), or that the template respects the fields (option 2).
  • “Only the lyrics, no chords” → chords go on the line above, starting with //.
  • “Do I need the paid Holyrics plan?” → Not to bring your songs in. Only to send them back.

Next step

You have a songbook. Now create Sunday's service in Services.
